Brown’s done that too, I think it’s what most colleges will probably be doing now that those urls are starting to take off
Hmm. I suppose it’s one thing to try to protect the university’s name, but I don’t see much incentive for porn companies to buy universityname.xxx domains since the people who would be looking up “university name” for porn is fairly niche in the first place compared to the number of people looking up porn in general.
Unless this is some scheme for the companies hosting the domains to make a quick buck off universities trying to safeguard themselves, which is pretty clever.
